GENERATIVE SESSIONS
In the generative session participants return the probe packages, we discuss about the results, and they are given 3 tasks. This part of the experiment is the most important, because it is in this session that they will create an ideal future scenario or interaction. During the probe they reflect upon the way it currently is, and in the generative session they externalize new ideas.
After the discussion, the three tasks were given:
discuss and choose one issue that is both important for Cologne and that you are interested in. In this task they had to weight the point-of-view of other participants.
design your ideal representative: think about what qualities a representative should have, and express them in an object. Further explain the concepts to be recorded in video. This task aims at understanding what they expect out of representatives, and contrast with what they have fulfilled in the workbook during the probe.
design a communication gadget to express the chosen issue to your ideal representative. Should be futuristic, not attained to reality. Through the third task, the intention was to find out how participants envision this interaction could happen, through the creation of objects with which they would communicate with the government/authorities.
